By downloading, installing, or using POLYSCAN ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," "your") and the POLYSCAN project ("we," "us," "our").

2. Software License

POLYSCAN is licensed under the MIT License. You are granted a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

Use the Software for any purpose
Copy and distribute the Software

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files, to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, subject to the following conditions: The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.

4. Financial Risk Disclaimer - Read Carefully

4.1 Trading Risks

PREDICTION MARKET TRADING INVOLVES SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF LOSS.

You can lose some or ALL of your invested capital
Past performance does not guarantee future results
Markets are volatile and unpredictable
Prices can move against you rapidly

4.2 Not Financial Advice

POLYSCAN does NOT provide:

Investment advice
Financial advice
Trading recommendations
Tax advice
Legal advice

Any signals, alerts, or information displayed are for informational purposes only. They are NOT recommendations to buy or sell.

4.3 Automated Trading Risks

If you use automated trading features:

Algorithms can malfunction
Errors can result in significant losses
Market conditions can change faster than automation
You are solely responsible for monitoring your strategies
Set appropriate risk limits and stop-losses

4.4 Your Responsibility

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:

All trading decisions you make
Understanding the risks involved
Any profits or losses incurred
Compliance with applicable laws
Proper risk management

4.5 Only Risk What You Can Afford to Lose

Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Prediction markets are speculative. Only use discretionary funds.

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1 No Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL POLYSCAN, ITS DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Lost profits or revenue
Trading losses
Data loss
Business interruption
Any other damages arising from use of the Software

This applies even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

5.2 Maximum Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100 USD).

6. User Responsibilities

6.1 Legal Compliance

You agree to:

Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Ensure prediction market trading is legal in your jurisdiction
Report and pay any applicable taxes
Not use the Software for illegal purposes

6.2 Age Requirement

You must be:

At least 18 years old, AND
The legal age for trading in your jurisdiction

6.3 Security

You are responsible for:

Securing your private keys and passwords
Protecting your device from unauthorized access
Backing up your configuration and data
Keeping your software updated

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to use POLYSCAN for:

Market manipulation or wash trading
Fraud or deceptive practices
Money laundering or terrorist financing
Circumventing legal restrictions
Any illegal activity
Harming other users or markets
Exploiting vulnerabilities maliciously

Violation may result in termination of your license.

8. Third-Party Services

8.1 Polymarket

POLYSCAN interacts with Polymarket. You must:

Accept Polymarket's Terms of Service
Comply with their rules and restrictions
Understand they may restrict or ban users

8.2 Blockchain Networks

Transactions occur on Polygon network. You acknowledge:

Transactions are irreversible
You are responsible for gas fees
Network congestion may cause delays
Smart contract risks exist

We do not endorse any third-party services. Use them at your own risk.

9. Intellectual Property

POLYSCAN is open-source under MIT License. The name "POLYSCAN" and associated branding are proprietary.
Market data, prices, and information from third parties belong to their respective owners.
Any trading strategies or configurations you create remain yours.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless POLYSCAN and its developers, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Software
Your trading activities
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any laws
Your violation of third-party rights

11. Termination

Your Right: You may stop using POLYSCAN at any time by uninstalling it.
Our Right: We may terminate your license if you violate these Terms.
Effect: Upon termination, your license ends, you should delete all copies, and sections on liability and indemnification survive.

12. Modifications

We may modify, update, or discontinue POLYSCAN at any time without notice.
We may modify these Terms. Changes are effective when posted. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

13. Dispute Resolution

Before legal action, you agree to contact us and attempt informal resolution for 30 days.
You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against us.
